Ann-Kristin Achleitner currently serves as a non-executive director on the boards of MunichRE AG and Linde plc. Previous directorships include also Deutsche Börse AG, Engie SA, Metro AG and Vontobel AG. She is a member of the International Advisory Board of Investcorp, the Board of Trustees of the Institute of Advanced Study (IAS), the Executive Committee of the National Academy of Science and Engineering (acatech), the Global Future Council on Europe of the WEF, and the Advisory Board of the ifo Institute and a member of the Trilateral Commission.
Ann-Kristin Achleitner studied at the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland (HSG) and holds a Doctorate in business administration as well as in law. After her time as lecturer at HSG, she joined McKinsey & Co. in Frankfurt. Between 1995 and 2001 Ann-Kristin Achleitner held the Endowed Chair for Banking and Finance at the European Business School (EBS) in Oestrich-Winkel, and since 2001 she is a full professor at the Technical University of Munich.
A mother of three, she is engaged in a number of philanthropic causes and an active start-up investor.
